This Is The Week That Was is a programme that tells you about what happened this week and this week in the past. It features several quizzes including The Wordplay quiz on current newsCategories and Paired With A Patient, where studio guests answer questions in order to win prizes for the patients that they are representing.
What made you want to join Coastway Hospital Radio For Brighton?

I have been involved with radio since an early age and have worked for a number of hospital radio stations in the UK, as well as on a number of Commercial stations in the United States. I have also done quite a bit of voice over work.

What do you like best about Coastway?

I like the camaraderie and the creativity of it all. I love the diversity that we provide!

How did you get into presenting?

I was the DJ at The Queens Wolverhampton (!) Then I was the DJ at my University. I love being able to speak to lots of people without shouting!

Who/what are your biggest influence(s)?

Radio wise Fi Glover, Jane Garvey. I like the ideas of psychologist Carl Rogers.

What have been your biggest achievements?

Moving from London to live in Brighton. I love the city! Writing over 50 books, designing a part of a children’s museum, working on BBC education programmes.

Name a key tune that you love or inspired you

I love the songs of Tom Andersen and Tim Di Pasqua. I think Stephen Sondheim is a musical genius, as is the work of Kurt Weill. My favourite female singer is Nancy LaMott

What do you do when you are not broadcasting? 

My real job as an Education Management Consultant.
I do voluntary work in a Brighton Primary School.
I love to travel – I get away as often as I can!
