What made you want to join Coastway Hospital Radio For Brighton?
I’ve been involved in commercial radio for years and I wanted to join a station voluntarily whilst studying at University in Brighton that had community in its heart.
What do you like best about Coastway?
…Kate Goddard
How did you get into presenting?
I appeared in a number of television projects when I was younger – I soon learnt I had a face for radio and I got my lucky break at 13 working for my local commercial station back in Reading.
Who/what are your biggest influence(s)?
Radio wise it constantly changes. I love the eloquence of James O’Brien on LBC 97.3 – and would love to have a similar position on a talk station in the future.
In life – If I’m ever having a bad day the Twitter Feed for the Dalai Lama is a total must. You can check it out by Clicking Here.
What have been your biggest achievements?
I’m proud to have some pretty big names on my C/V. But actually managing to break free from Berkshire to Brighton was definitely the biggest goal I reached!
Name a key tune that you love or inspired you
I’m so fickle with music – It’s why I do a chart on the show my tastes change constantly – right now I’m enjoying the new album by Dolly Parton – Better Day.
What do you do when you are not broadcasting?
Addicted to watching trashy US television. The A List – New York and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are currently high on my priority list… When I’m not studying for my Law with Business degree!!
