How would you describe your programme?

‘Zoo Station’ is an hour of album tracks, B-Sides, bonus tracks, lesser known singles and some big hits by artists that I do rather like. Everything from pop, rock, electronica, hip-hop mixed in with me chatting for ages about why the tracks are so great!

How did you get into presenting?
Pete has been a friend of my mum’s for years and around the time of my 20th birthday when my mum came down to visit and saw Pete he asked me if I’d like to come along for his show ‘The Week That Was’ and I did every Sunday morning for a term and then got my own show in February of this year.

 Who/what are your biggest influence(s)?
Annie Nightingale, John Peel, Charlie Brooker, Caitlin Moran

Name a particular piece of music that you love
Impossible question as there’s so many, but I think my favourite song of all time is ‘The Trick Is To Keep Breathing’ by Garbage. It’s based off a book about depression and the song is all about keeping your head above water. The cool trip-hop sound and Shirley Manson’s glacial vocals make the song absolutely irresistible.

What do you do when you are not broadcasting?

I’m a History of Art student, so course work takes up most of my time unfortunately. When that’s not taking over my life, I read all the time. I also write, usually articles, songs and bits and bobs that I hope one day will become a novel.
